‘Sunken Place’ — #Lyrics To A Pop-Rap Song

As I recall, Kanye West recently said that slavery was a “choice.” So this would be a really fast pop rap song in the style of Monster.

pulled from our African roots
the blood still oozing centuries later
Kanye now has the audacity to say
that we would have it that way
rather than live in our homeland
free from the terror of the white man

the man from the sunken place
is talking like a madman
a disgrace to his race
telling us all what a fool he is
that slavery is a choice

we all know it isn’t true
but what can you do
what can you do

we all know it isn’t true
but what can you do
what can you do

rather than fight and fight
we need to unite against povery
make the world a better place
if we have any choice in the matter
why not ignore the fool from the sunken place
find a better person to represent us
when we come face to face with our own sunken place
