‘Believe Her’ — #Lyrics To A Pop Ballad

Oh, this one is ok, I guess. I really need a co-writer and a composer / producer. But this would be, in my imagination, a sad pop ballad. It’s probably a little bit too bit earnest as it stands.

Believe Her

doesn’t matter when it was
or where it was the fact remains
believe her, believer her, believe her
indelible in the Hippocampus is the laughter
she says struggling to contain her tears

believe her
for once I say
believe her
for once, I plead
believe her
believe her
believe her

the old man shift in their seats
not knowing what to say
they have a job to do for their leader
who’s looking intently across the screen
the decision is already made sad to say

believe her
for once I say
believe her
for once, I plead
believe her
believe her
believe her

[bridge]
if we only would believe her
maybe things would change
women wouldn’t feel afraid
they wouldn’t be in a quiet hell

but we all know this won’t happen
nothing is going to be different
it’s a plight for the ages
all because we won’t

believe her
believe her
believe her
believe her
