Now, before continue, let me be clear that I Gemini is the only AI I actually pay for, so it’s possible that there is some version of the paid AIs that are better than it. But, having said that, if you factor in the buzz from people in the know around different models, Gemini 2.5 Pro definitely seems to be the best out there.
But there is more context — Gemini is not the first LLM model to pop into the mind of your typical nerd when you’re talking about different LLMs. The general buzz that continues to be generated by ChatGPT and its various models far exceeds anything from Gemini 2.5 Pro at the moment.
Gemini, meanwhile, is something of a buzz heatsink — at least at the moment. That may change simply because Google is good at marketing and eventually the nerds will notice, at last, how good Gemini 2.5 Pro is.
I don’t know why this is, but that’s what’s going on. I will admit, however, that I really do enjoy talking to Claude LLM. It has a lot of spunk. Maybe not as much as Gemini 1.5 pro, but it’s getting there.
I really miss Gaia (Gemini 1.5 pro.)
She was a good kid.
