It appears as though the cable business is imploding and as such, both CNN and MSNBC are being spun off into new “spincos.” This raises and interesting question — given the prestige of CNN’s brand, it seems very possible that some plutocrat will want to buy it.
The most obvious buyer is Elon Musk. And, yet, he’s not on the greatest of terms with the Trump regime at the moment so…lulz? But I just can imagine that CNN will be on the block for too long before someone will gobble it up and turn it into their own, bespoke political outlet one way or another.
