We’re in a crisis when it comes to #TrumpRussia and the next few days will be significant. There’s not much we can do about it. It will be interesting to see what #Mueller does on Monday. #Trump may freak out and do something crazy. I am also worried that Hillary Clinton is in real danger because of Trump’s insane behavior.

I am really concerned that something tragic is going to happen because of the insane Uranium One rhetoric coming out of places like Gab. It’s simply completely bonkers and there’s nothing we can do about it. It’s all leading us down a slippery slope that could endup with some truly horrible consequences that we can’t anticipate at this point.

With the announcement that Chelsea Handler is going to end her Netflix show to “concentrate on activism,” it is timely to raise the notion that she should run for office, maybe even for president. In this post-Trump era, she has all the skills needed to be an effective candidate.
She’s a celebrity, she’s caustic and she has some very well developed opinions. And I think she would give Trump — or one of his successors — a run for his money.
But we’ll see. Nothing fun-interesting every happens, especially if I suggest it.

While I am writing a novel, I have also decided to work on a non-fiction book about this era of Trump that we’re living in. It will be interesting to see if I can write a few hundred pages on all of this crap we’re living through, but I like to think I might be able to.

I have an idea for a social media startup that I’ve been pondering for years now and here is the latest version of it.
See, you would have “Groups” that could only be created by verified accounts. Within groups, you would have live text chat that filled a third of the screen. On the other two thirds of the screen, you’d see threads, or “discussions” that were made up of recorded four way video chat with an associated text post that could be in-line edited by others.
Anyway, that’s the vision.

It occurred to me today that Emily Ratajkowsk would be perfect to be featured in a remake of “10.” She is so much like Bo Derek in personality not to mention beauty that she would be an ideal person to use the role Derek made famous as a vehicle.
Both women are kind of languid and matter-of-fact about their sexuality that it would be cool to see Ratajkowsk play a role as as the one in 10. As for the male lead, I imagine someone like Seth Rogen would be pretty cool. Anyway, no one listens to me.
This thought just occurred to me.

The concept I have for a novel is pretty strong. It’s interesting and has a great built-in hook. Having said that, it’s a lot harder than I expected to get out of the outline stage. At one point, I was writing the outline out in longhand, but that kind of burned me out.
So, now I’m using a new laptop to write the outline and the story keeps evolving. But I see that as a good thing. Once I do finally get out of the outline stage, I think I’m going to just write a first draft that’s just something to get the story down pat.
The second draft I will write a lot slower. In between the first and second draft I also think I may do some character studies as well as pay someone to look over the first draft and give me suggestions as to how to improve it. Maybe. I really believe in this novel concept and I’m willing to do put my money where my mouth is. But that is a little bit down the road. We’ll see.
But, in general, I’m enjoying the process of writing a novel if nothing else. I am very much more about producing media as opposed to consuming it and I’ve been looking for a big project that would keep me occupied. Writing a novel, at least for the time being, is it.

I still don’t think there’s going to be a war with the DPRK anytime soon. But should it happen, for the first few days of it, I will be so angry that people I know in South Korea have been put in physical jeopardy that I will flip out on social media to an astonishing extent.
Probably it will be for the best if I don’t use social media for a few days should such a war start. I will be so tempted to burn every bridge I can get my hands on of anyone I know who supports Trump that the whole thing won’t be very pretty.
But hopefully that won’t happen. Hopefully we won’t have to worry about that.
