I usually really enjoy the movie review banter that is the “Critical Darlings” podcast. I’ve been a fan of Richard Lawson since his Gawker days. But today, I was taken aback at how wrong the podcast was about the new Tom Cruise movie Digger.
The right hot take on Digger.
Digger is really good! It’s not the most accessible of movies, that’s for sure, but the once you get past the first 20 minutes or so and you have some sense of what the premise is, it’s really engaging and interesting.
But you would never know that from how much the folks of Critical Darlings hated the movie. It’s kind of jarring, like, I keep thinking to myself, “Did we see the same movie?”
Anyway, go see “Digger.”
