As much as I hope I’m wrong, my gut tells me Republicans keep control of the House and Senate tomorrow. The country is too distracted and there’s always the risk that, I don’t know, Elon Musk hacks it or something.
I think it’s ultimately going to be like the Mueller Report — we think it’s going to solve all our Trump political problems and then…meh, nothing happens. What’s even worse about this scenario is even if somehow the Democrats do win control of one or more of the Congressional Houses, we still have Trump and we still have the impact of the Big Beautiful Bill on my persona life starting next year.
In short, I, personally, am fucked no matter what.
And, what’s more, if Democrats do win big, there is always the risk that Trump will run some weird, unexpected autocratic play that fucks everything up.
