I can’t believe that Trump, that piece of shit, is talking about not just shutting down the Kennedy Center, but tearing it down. My fear is there will be an “accidental” fire one night and we’ll wake up to the Kennedy Center just being…gone.

If we had any gumption as a country, we would surround the building, occupy it, until Trump fucking backed down. But, alas, we just don’t have the grit to do such a form of direct action.

Oh well. The Trump Revolution rumbles along and we still have no idea what will be left to save once it’s done.

I Keep Having The Same Nightmare About The Kennedy Center

I keep blinking and seeing it being night and the flames of a fire pouring out of The Kennedy Center at some point in the near future. Then Trump will finally get what he wants — the ability to remake The Kennedy Center in his own image.

I could totally see such a fire happening “accidently on purpose” at some point in the next few years. Hopefully, it won’t happen.

Let me begin by saying I’m totally powerless to do anything about Trump potentially tearing down or otherwise destroying The Kennedy Center. All I can do is just vent on social media.

No on listens to me — especially no one immediately connected to me — so I can’t expect to change *anyone’s* minds on the matter. The MAGA people I know are absolutely MAGA and that’s that.

Or even if they were alarmed at Trump tearing down / burning down The Kennedy Center, they sure as hell wouldn’t get me the satisfaction of telling me personally.

Anyway, two years is a loooooonnnnnnggggg time for Trump to do all sorts of untoward things against iconic The Kennedy Center building. I fully expect to wake up one day and it’s just….gone.

My Hunch On Where Trump’s Fixation On The Kennedy Center Comes From

Trump seems absolutely obsessed with destroying The Kennedy Center. My hunch for why this is comes from the fact that he was stopped at the last moment in his first term from remaking it in his own image.

As such, now that he’s back in power, he feels like he can stick it to the elites by pretty much destroying the place. I am a little nervous that there might be an “accidental” fire during its “renovation” that allows Trump to totally rebuild it into some garish edifice that he, personally, likes.

Who knows. All I know is things are fucking dark these days and only going to get much, much darker as we swerve into a troubling future.

The Kennedy Center Is Going To Suck Now

Trump seems determined to drive the Kennedy Center into the ditch like he does everything else he touches. Kid Rock will probably have a residency there soon enough. Or, I could see Trump turning the place is a sleezier version of the Grande Olde Opry.

Something horrible like that.

And I continue to doubt we’re ever going to have free-and-fair elections on a Federal basis ever again so, lulz, this is it. Trump and his toadies are going to ruin the entire country, at least for the rest of my life.

I need to get used to living in rather different country, I guess. Maybe one day I’ll find the funds to leave the country somehow, but that could be a long, long time from now and I’m going to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous Trumplandia fortune for the time being.
