If We Appease Trump On Greenland, Canada Is Next

We have to accept that we are in a new age, a new era. America is now run by a mad king, an America Caligula, and as such we have to look at things in a different way.

If we just lulz Greenland and let Trump seize it, then Canada will be next. And given the fact that Trump is, like, the Foundation series’ The Mule, he probably will get away with it. He probably will invade Canada, destroy all that and while there will be a lot of upheaval in the USA because of it, it’s not like he’ll be impeached and convicted.

Trump is, for the moment at least, not only a mad king, but a god-king. There’s just nothing we can do about the situation. Or, at least, there’s nothing we’re willing to do about the situation.

The US democratic political system is going to implode and it definitely looks as though China, the USA and Russia will divide the globe up into different spheres of influence.

Thankfully, Russia has an economy the size of Italy, so it can only do so much trouble in Europe unless it uses nukes — which is highly unlikely.

As for the USA, my fears about either dying in a camp or being thrown out a window by an ICE agent are growing…more possible, if not probable.

Of Trump & Canada

I didn’t entitle this “Will Trump Invade Canada?” because I am doing anti-SEO. I don’t want a wave to anxious Canadians coming to this site looking for answers that I just can’t give.

All I have is my opinion. As an American.

Now that we’re in a new normal where Trump is actively remaking the world in his own image, yes, I do think it’s possible that Trump could order an invasion of Canada.

There’s not a high probability, but it exists.

And that probability increases if there is any sort of skirmish between Canada and the US over…ugh…Greenland.

The issue is, I can’t tell you that there is anything or anyone in the US political system at the moment that would stop Trump from invading Canada. Things are so fucked up that Trump literally could invade Canada and Republicans would be silent and Democrats powerless.

There would be a wave of revulsion in the USA population that it happened, but it still would happen. And Trump would, in fact, demand that the entire fucking nation of Canada be the “51st state.”

And the really unnerving thing about the whole situation is because Canada isn’t some uniform block of people, there would be a lot of Canadians (as I understand it) would, after the shock wore off, at least want to negotiate some sort of peaceful assumption of power by the States over Canada.

Or, put another way, Canada would probably implode into parts that wanted to be American and parts that didn’t. (I think, I’m an American, but that seems to be the state of play on the ground in Canada at the moment.)

Anyway, I can’t predict WHEN this will happen, just that it MIGHT. We still have (at least) three years of Trump to go and he’s growing so bonkers that it literally could happen at any time or at no time.

Only time will tell.

What’s The Matter With Canada?

I honestly don’t know what’s going on with Canada at the moment, other than what I see passively — and occasionally — on Twitter. I’ve decided to bone up on this issue, however, because things are turning dark rather quickly. My fear is that the truckers who are now apparently camped out around the Canadian Capitol in the middle of winter will radicalize and stage a January 6-like attempted coup.

Given what I know about Canadian politics — that things can change there rather abruptly because of the small population size — my concern is that things might get out of hand a lot sooner than anyone might predict. The next thing you know, some sort of Right wing dictatorship, long predicted for the United States, will happen in Canada (of all places) first.

If something like that did happen, it would only destabilize the United States even more. And, let me be clear, if you’re reading this and getting off on the idea that the United States — or Canada for that matter — might have a Right wing dictatorship soon: please fuck off you piece of shit.

Anyway, the point is — the entire anglophone world is in crisis at the moment for various reasons. New Zealand is the only one that seems to be acting normal at the moment. All the others are veering from crisis to crisis of their own making.

The Big Ugly: American Balkanization, Canada & Reshaping North America

I hate it when I accidently slip into giving our dystopian future some sort of all’s well that ends well narrative like some sort of sanguin liberal-progressive Turner Diaries. With the Turner Diaries it was — as I understand it — a far Right fever dream that involved a race war.

With my narrative, it’s The Big Ugly happens but in the end, my liberal-progressive dreams come true because we found a new nation based on the ideals of California.

But that’s really me stroking one out to something that may not happen.

It may be that when The Big Ugly happens, the United States — if it doesn’t become a full-blown autocracy — simply implodes. A form of balkanization happens in the US. And that’s it. There’s no more United States. California successfully leaves the Union and the rest of the Blue States are under the MAGA-Federal jackboot via the Insurrection Act.

And that will be that.

I guess the point of that is The Big Ugly is going to suck should it happen.

Another thing is — if The Big Ugly happens, I just don’t see any way Canada doesn’t get drawn into it. And it won’t be some sort of liberal-progressive circle jerk where Blue States form the United States of Canada with Canada, either. Things may get violent. Canadian worst nightmares about Americans coming after their “resources” may come true.

Or, at least, the entire political map of North American may change in a rather sudden, dramatic fashion. Some sort of force-union between some Blue States and Canada might happen. Or MAGA-USA invades Canada because it meddles in TrumpBarr’s attempts to turn us into Putin’s America.

What I’m saying is — the next four months could really, really fucking suck. A lot of people may die tragic, needless deaths simply because fucking Trump is a demagogic moron who is afraid to go to jail.

I just want a liberal democracy. That should not be so controversal.
