Everything Is So Dumb: I Worry The SAVE Act Will Pass, Somehow

I’m really worried that somehow, some way, the fucking SAVE Act is going to pass and we’re going to become a true managed democracy like they have in Russia. I don’t know how it might happen since at the moment Republicans don’t have the votes…but they are known to cheat.

So, I could totally see some cheating going on, like suspending the filibuster long enough in the Senate to pass it.

I have to just accept that this fall’s elections will NOT be free-and-fair under the strictest definition of the term and so, lulz, Republicans will just run the country for the rest of my life.

Ugh.

I Need To Hurry Up With This Novel So I Can Sell It And Get The Fuck Out Of The USA

It definitely seems as though the SAVE Act is going to pass sooner rather than later. And when that happens, the US will become a “managed democracy” like they have in Hungary, Russia or Turkey.

That will be it.

Now, obviously, to even get a literary agent will be like winning the lottery, but a guy needs dreams. And if I happened to make any amount of money with this novel, I would probably seriously consider leaving the USA and never look back.

The USA is going to grow poorer (for the average person), more inward looking and just darker in general once the SAVE Act passes and no one can vote anymore. It’s just fucking sad.

The SAVE Act Is Bad News

There’s a reason why Trump is so hysterical about passing the SAVE Act: he knows that’s how he can finally consolidate power. The SAVE Act is some serious Jim Crow bullshit.

It would be the worst piece of voter suppression, maybe in forever.

And, yet, here we are. It definitely seems like there is momentum for it to pass. And, as such, the USA is posed to become a zombie “managed” democracy like they have in Hungary, Turkey and Russia.

But we voted in Trump a second time, I guess that is what we should expect. It will be interesting to see if Trump uses the passage of the SAVE Act as a sign he can run for a third term without people really getting as nearly upset as they should.

Only time will tell on that one, I guess.

Fuck Trump, fuck ICE and fuck the SAVE Act.

The SAVE Act Will Mean The End of American Democracy

Now, obviously there is the issue of the filibuster in the Senate…and…yet…I suspect the fucking SAVE Act is going to pass one way or another. This is an act that pretty much makes it so difficult to vote that even married women will be disenfranchised.

As such, I think there won’t be free-and-fair elections in 2026 — if ever again.

Somehow, someway, MAGA Republicans will pass the SAVE Act, despite the prospect of the filibuster and the US will become a “managed democracy” like Hungary or Russia.

And, before you know it, ICE will crash through my door and murder me in cold blood. Lulz!
