Why I Don’t Think The Trump-Musk Dope Show Is A ‘Smash & Grab’ Operation

Anyone who thinks the next major Federal election will be free and fair is a fool. The whole thing is going to be so rigged that the already cocky MAGA is going to take things to the next level. That’s why I think all this talk about the reason why Trump and Musk are acting so fast is it’s a “smash and grab” operation before the next election is just dumb.

We’re totally, completely fucked. Totally. The end. It’s over. Stick a fork in America, it’s cooked. There’s no going back. Either we have a revolution then a civil war (which I don’t want) or we turn into a legalistic autocracy like in Russia.

There is no longer any middle grown, no more “muddling through.” That option is long gone.

So, get out of the country while you still can. Maybe my novel will be a hit and I can get out eventually, too. But the way things are going, I’m going to be pushed out a window by either a weaponized ICE or FBI.

Sigh.

I’m Beginning To Worry In A Concrete Way About My Personal Safety Because Of My Politics

It’s clear that This Is It. The End. Something new is going to arise from the ashes of the Second American Republic and there are absolutely no assurances that it will be a Third Republic. It could very well be a full-blown legalistic autocracy like that they have in Russia.

I still have my doubts that Trump will end regular Federal elections. It might run for a illegal third term, but just calling off elections when he can rig them and use them to validate his ego seems more likely.

But we continue to lurch more and more into a situation where people like me — who are harmless loudmouth cranks — could very well cross the regime. Everything from simply getting arrested, to being pushed out a window to being one of those people the Soviets drugged up in looney bins is on the table.

What I feel like doing is protesting at the nearest circuit court with a sheet of paper that has the 1st Amendment on it. Given how small the nearest town to me is, there’s a 50 / 50 chance that I’d be arrested for doing that just because it would unnerve people.

Anyway. It’s over, guys. Stick a fork in American democracy, it’s dead. It’s cooked. The end, end of story. Blues just don’t have the leadership necessary to do anything constructive about Trump and he will stay in office for the rest of his life, one way or another.

Countdown To American Collapse: Rich People Have a Point

Apparently, a lot of wealthy Americans are buying second homes outside the country in preperation for “domestic upheaval.” Sadly, I think they have a point. I think it’s at least possible — maybe 50 / 50 — that something will happen well before the next four years are up that will cause Trump to enact martial law.

One issue I struggle with is if Trump would cancel elections altogether. I have my doubts. Why cancel the elections — which would upset people — when you can just make them so unfree and so unfair that you win in a landslide and you can point to that during your illegal third term.

And, yet, some people far smarter — and far more successful — than I, seem to believe Trump wants to be “president for life” without allowing any elections — free and fair or otherwise — from happening.

I do think that Trump is so fucking stupid that it’s inevitable that he will do something that actually provokes Democrats into action. At the moment, Trump has free reign to do whatever the fuck he wants because Democrats are such pantywaists that they can’t get their act together to oppose him.

I worry about Trump finally doing something so stupid that he gets deposed then there’s a civil war because Red States get mad. Ugh.

We’re Ripe For *Something* Big To Happen

I’m getting a very pre-9/11 vibe from the USA right now. Sure there are a lot of big events happening as Trump consolidates power like Putin in the early years of his regime, but…I fear something *huge* might be about to happen.

Anything from a war with Iran, to Trump declaring martial law after huge protests because the Social Security Administration has collapsed seem on the table at the moment. And that doesn’t begin to address the possibility that a very poorly managed FBI might miss a major terrorist attack on US soil because it’s too busy sucking Trump’s cock.

But I can’t predict the future. Who knows what is going to happen. Maybe we’ll just drift into a legalistic autocracy, Trumplandia, and that will be that.

The Second American Republic Is Dying

There have been two American Republics to date — one founded by George Washington and another founded by Abraham Lincoln. The last one, the current one, is dying and the question is What Come’s Next?

It could go either way at the moment.

We could either simply slip into full-blown autocracy and that will be that or we depose Trump, have a civil war, the Good Guys (Blues) win and we establish a Third Republic.

I really, really don’t want a civil war, I’m just saying given how fucking tribal everything is, it seems like a civil war is the only way to eliminate MAGA as a political force. MAGA is a cancer that is eating our political system alive and we need some serious chemotherapy to get rid of it.

It’s not going to be fun and it’s not going to be pretty.

Again, I’m not advocating anything untoward, just saying what would have to be done to get rid of MAGA as a political force. As such, I think we’re stuck with MAGA and soon enough ICE or the FBI will murder me in cold blood because I won’t shut the fuck up about how much of a cocksucker I think Trump is.

Sigh.

We Live In A Political Liminal Space (For The Moment?)

Trump is pushing and pushing our political system to the breaking point…or is he? Maybe the our political system is just going to bend so far as to be unrecognizable.

It could be that we’ll have what I’ve heard as a “competitive autocracy.” And yet I wonder if we are heading towards some sort of final spasm of consolidation that turns us into a full-blow autocracy.

Maybe this is just a mid-way point. Maybe we’re in a transitional phase that isn’t over yet and this liminal space is just a temporary moment in time. I just don’t know it could go either way.

But I think what’s really happening, which is kind of dark, is Trump is going to be a Julius Cesar like transitional figure who destroys what’s left our democracy and we turn into a full-blown autocracy in the style of Russia.

Whenever Trump shuffles off this mortal coil, there will be a huge power struggle until we get the official successor who will be president for 30 to 40 years. That seems like one potential fate.

Of course, there’s a chance that Trump could finally do something so stupid that he gets deposed then there’s a civil war when Red States get mad and leave the Union. So, there is a wide range of possibilities.

Who knows what is going to happen. Probably whatever is the worst possible outcome.

The United States is Falling Apart

I can tell you from person experience that the wheels are beginning to fly off the United States government. Things that should be perfunctory are just not happening the way they should be. It’s enough to give one pause for thought.

The thing I keep thinking is — is Trump a Russian agent?

All the bullshit that Trump and his toadies are doing are just the type of things that a Russian agent POTUS would do. Wreck the economy. Wreak the post-WW2 liberal order. Abolish American soft power. You name it, Trump (and Must) it’s being done.

And, yet, here we are. Even if could *prove* Trump was a traitor, he would still have a rock solid approval rating of about 37%. That’s why there are a few ways this goes — Blue revolution then civil war, autocracy, or something on the spectrum between the two.

But…I just don’t see Blues having the guts to depose Trump. He’s proven that there are no guard rails and, lulz, nothing matters. We’re totally fuck, folks.

Contemplating The Possible Collapse Of The Social Security Administration

As is always the case with Trumplandia, a lot is going on at the same time. The economy — apparently according to forecasting data — is just about to tank in a way not seen in decades. Meanwhile, there is growing chatter among those in-the-know that the skullfucking that Trump is doing to the Social Security Administration…might…actually cause some disruption in the ability of the service to cut checks on time.

Now, before you get too excited, Americans are extremely docile folks. Not even a Great Depression got them to do anything of note. And the Civil War was, in real terms, something of a fluke and in some ways only happened because Abraham Lincoln, personally, was a badass.

And remember, even if somehow, magically, people took to the streets en masse in an effort to bring down Tyrant Trump one of two things would happen — one it works and there’s a civil war because MAGA Reds would pop a gasket or two it doesn’t work and Tyrant Trump uses it as an excuse to consolidate power and we become a military police state.

So, lulz?

Americans love to just “muddle through” things, but I Trump, personally, is a a cocksucker who loves to make it impossible to do just that, so….we’ll see. It’s at least possible that, by the end of the year, the USA will not only pull out of NATO and the UN, but become a full-fledged tyrannical state under the MAGA Nazi jackboot.

Sigh.

The Regime Risks Growing Arrogant

There is pride before the fall and I’m beginning to worry that Trump is going to really do something crazy with the FBI to the point that people might…begin to care?

If Trump actually makes good on his desires for a police state then, at least in some of the Blue States, this is going to cause some problems. I’m a man of peace, a man of ideas, but the idea of some sort of Blue revolution does seem in the greater-than-zero range right now.

I hope, I really hope, that doesn’t happen, but if Trump uses the FBI to literally snatch people — like me! — off the street then, well, we got a problem. But hopefully that won’t happen. Hopefully.

But it definitely, at least, SEEMS that we are headed in that direction. What will be interesting to see is the reaction on the part of the population to such thuggish shenanigans.

I suppose what Trump might do is purge the FBI to the point that he has to find whack jobs in police departments in Red States to fill all those high paying positions and then he uses them to do is bidding in Blue States. That causes mass protests, he calls in Red State National Guards and, tah-dah, we’re a military police state under martial law for the foreseeable future.

You Can’t Unring A Bell

The thing about what’s going on as we slide into autocracy is we’ve reached point where everyone is learning the weaknesses of the system. So, no matter what, this is it, the end — you can’t unring Trump’s bell.

We either go full Russian-style autocracy, or we have a Great Turbulence where the Good Guys win and a Third Republic is established. There is no middle ground anymore.

I honestly don’t know which direction things are going to go. It could be either way. The only way we “solve” this problem is via something akin to a Revolution and I just don’t see Americans prepared to do that. So, I suppose I’ve answered my own question — it seems like we’re going to become a very legalistic dictatorship with two branches of government that exist, but don’t do anything.

That’s the dystopian hellscape that we’re zooming towards at the moment.
