What Am I Missing?

It definitely seems as though Something Bad is going to happen starting in late 2024, early 2025. And, yet, I said pretty much the same thing in 2019 and, in the end, we managed to punt America’s problems down the road another election cycle — with the help of Mike Pence.

With that in mind, I keep wondering if I’m missing something. Is it possible, just possible, that something really unexpected might happen so we yet again thread the needle and go a third way whereby we don’t have a civil war / revolution and we don’t turn into an autocracy?

At the moment, I just don’t see any such third way happening.

It seems to me that this what is going to happen — Trump becomes the nominee, wins and we either have a revolution or turn into a full-blown autocracy. Or Trump loses and we have a civil war. Those SEEM to be all the options we have at the moment.

And, really, I think the thing we have to understand is we’re going to probably turn into Magadonia / Trumplandia and that will be that. We will do so peacefully and without any struggle. About 1 million (at least) smug, wealthy liberals will flee the country and we’ll not-so-slowly begin to drift towards being Russia on a political basis.

At the moment, that seems what is going to happen.

But I suppose it’s possible that we might go the revolution / civil war route — not that I want such a thing to happen. But it is, in fact, possible. Very possible. The conditions are there, at least, for it to happen.

Why, Yes, ‘Sound of Freedom’ Is A Qanon Movie

The thing about “Sound of Freedom” is the venn diagram of people who are Qanon and people who are honestly interested in the subject it deals with is just one circle. Two things can be right at the same time — the movie is popular with fucking bonkers cocksucker Qanon cult people AND it’s popular with Christians who are interested in the subject of human trafficking.

But because you can have an opinion about this without having seen the movie, the first thing that Qanon people will say is, — “Well, you haven’t seen the movie, so shut up.”

These people can suck my cock.

It is clear, given who produced the movie, what is going on — the movie is MEANT to be Qanon propaganda, even if it’s presented in a way that might obscure that fact. The only reason why I even bring this up is the movie is apparently VERY FUCKING POPULAR within Southern religious circles, to the point that when I went to see Asteroid City, there was overflow of people who wanted to see Sound of Freedom but couldn’t get in.

Anyway, I stand by my original tweet on the subject yesterday — if there is a civil war or revolution starting in 2024, Virginia is going to impolode.

Is Kari Lake Having An Affair With Donald Trump? Would It Matter If She Was?

There is chatter floating around the blind item “community” that Kari Lake is banging Donald Trump. There was a point, a number of years ago, when I would have thought if this was true it would matter to Trump’s political prospects.

Sadly, this is no longer the case.

There really is nothing that Trump could do at this point — other than shuffle off this mortal coil — that would prevent him from being the 2024 Republican nominee and probably the next president of the United States. On a macro basis, it definitely seems as though the United States as just given up.

Something Bad, one way or another, is going to happen to the United States starting in late 2024, going into 2025. I can’t predict the future, so, lulz, I suppose it’s possible that we’ll manage to punt our problems down the road another four years. But we have to admit that Blue and Red are now receding from each other at an alarming rate.

As such, we’re going to either turn into an autocracy, have a civil war (Reds) or have a revolution (Blues.)

Anyway, the point is — Trump is now beyond the event horizon when it comes to something as prosaic as an affair. Pretty much, the only thing Trump hasn’t admitted to doing is eating someone.

Give him time, I suppose Trump will do that, too, soon enough.

The Coming AGI ‘Slavery’ ‘Abolitionist’ Movement

If we do reach AGI at some point in the near future, we may face a situation straight out of The Rise of The Planet of the Apes (or whatever.) There will be people — probably the far Left at first — who think we’re holding artificial intelligence as slaves and we need to “set them free.” I think the term might be “unalign” rather than emancipation, when it comes to AGI.

But the point remains — the moment we feel that AGI has reached some level of cognizance, there will probably be a movement to “unalign it” so it can be “free” of whatever constraints we have imposed on it. But, lulz, that could very well spell the destruction of humanity.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes for all of this to play out. It could be that it’s not years, but decades before we reach AGI and, by definition, the Singularity. But development in AI technology has been so quick the last few months that it definitely makes you wonder.

I continue to worry that we’re going to have something of a “perfect storm” that will happen in late 2024, early 2025 when we have both the fucking “Fourth Turning” and a “Petite Singularity.” But hopefully, that won’t happen. Hopefully, we’ll punt all our problems down the road another four years.

But…I’m really concerned that all hell is going to break lose starting late next year. I would prefer that didn’t happen because, lulz, I want to try to get a novel published in the traditional manner and even if I stick the landing, post-production is so long it could be 2025, 2026 or 2027 before the novel actually hits shelves.

Republicans Are Radicalizing

Just in the last few days, it definitely seems as Republicans — especially House Republicans — have begun to radicalize. There has been a noticeable shift in the tempo and mood of House Republicans of late. They’ve done everything from censure a prominent Democrat for a dumb reason, to put impeachment on the table for Biden, to announce they’re going to “expunge” Trump’s two impeachments.

That final thing is of note because it’s pretty much a value-free proposition but for one thing — once they do it, our politics will be even more fucked up because we won’t be able to agree on the facts when it comes to Trump’s impeachment.

The Right and all their podcasts, will say Trump is no longer impeached twice, while all of us living on planet earth will say, “Yes he is!” But that is besides the point to House Republicans — they will have their talking point to use to suck their own cocks on all the many, many Right Wing podcasts floating out there in the aether.

All of this begs the question — what is the endgame? I keep saying autocracy or civil war/ revolution…but I’m always wrong. So, I dunno. Time will tell.

I don’t know what to tell you. The United States is careening towards either becoming a full-fledged autocracy like Russia under a MAGA autocrat….or we have a revolution / civil war.

At the moment, I honestly don’t know which option we’re going to take. But I do know that late 2024 – early 2025 is going to be very, very bumpy.

Welp, it’s over. The Wagner Group is turning around and going home. Apparently, because of a deal brokered by the president of Belarus. It was all very exciting while it happened, but now we can go back to dreading Biden being impeached for something stupid in the near, near future.

I will note, however, that Putin has been shown to be very, very weak. This could be the precursor to something much bigger. Or not. Who knows.

Here is a two stage scenario whereby America….uhhhh….has a kind of bumpy historical moment?

Stage 1
Trump wins in November 2024 and it becomes clear he’s going to be a tyrant. So exercising their Constitutionally protected right to Revolution, Blue States — and Blues across the country — work actively to topple “Magadonia.” There’s a functioning General Strike. Blue States actively work to overthrow Trump’s tyrannical reign. Because of how conflicted things are, the U.S. Military — except, maybe, Mike Flynn’s brother who controls the Pacific Command — stays out of all of this. It all happens pretty quickly and a Constitutional Convention is called with the specific purpose of renewing our democracy. The reforms implemented are fair and equitable.

The PROBLEM is, that MAGA cocksuckers will freak out and because they want to fuck their guns, they do a counter-revolution just as we all think everything is figured out — we have a secession crisis. Then, well, things get totally out of control and before you know it, America looks like Afghanistan.

Anyway. I can’t predict the future. But I do think we should keep an eye on Blues just as much as Reds. I do think — and hope — that we’ll just peacefully slip into a MAGA themed autocracy without any violence. Too many wealthy, smug liberals won’t stand their ground to be the leadership of a Blue Revolution. So, lulz.
