I’m Growing Alarmed For The American Trans Community

I smell a rat. The FBI seems to be making up, out of whole cloth, some sort of connection between the person who murdered Charlie Kirk and the Trans community. It seems as though the pressure to find something, anything to fit the murder of Kirk into the required MAGA narrative is enough to cause them to just flat out lie.

The murderer’s family said point blank that he lived with them and now the FBI (and some rando FoxNews producer) are claiming he lived with a Trans girlfriend. What the what?

Add to this the growing calls to, well murder the mentally ill, and I — a member of the bonkers community — find myself growing a little worried. It doesn’t take a genius to imagine a situation where MAGA finally gets their chance to put Trans people in camps and murder them and before you know it, that particular dragnet also involves just kooks like me.

MAGA is so smug about it, too. They’re like, “Ah-ha! We have finally found what we need to murder Trans people in cold blood.”

The interesting thing to me is what happens to ICE. The purview of ICE is going to expand at some point into something more along the lines of the SS. Form follows function and all that. It’s just a matter of time.

Things Are Politically Spinning Out Of Control In The USA

For a variety of macro political reasons, the MAGA Right simply can not, will not be placated. They want to turn the USA into a white Christian autocratic ethnostate as fast as possible.

And, really, at the moment, there doesn’t seem to be anything that is going to stop them. I suppose if there was some sort of civil war or revolution that might give the MAGA Right at least pause for thought.

But, in general, that isn’t going to happen — I hope — and so we have to accept that the USA is transforming into a very dark zombie version of itself. We will be — or are — an autocratic state in all but name at this point and it’s only going to get far, far worse.

There just doesn’t seem to be any way to stop it, baring significant upheaval in a way not seen since the Civil War.

In fact, the only thing I could possible see causing the type of reaction against the MAGA Right that is needed is if Trump, like, started to seize or brazenly purge the major broadcast networks. And not in the round about way he’s been doing — it would have to be at his express direction.

Or if Trump started to round up people — like me! — for what I said online, then, yeah, that would catch people’s attention because freedom of speech is so native to the American experience.

But…who knows. Who knows what is going to happen.

Birthright Citizenship Is In Serious Danger If Trump Is Re-Elected

One of the absolutely bonkers element of any second Trump Administration is the fact that he will be gunning for something we all taken for granted — birthright citizenship. This make me both very angry and very alarmed because the first thing fascists — like the Nazis — do is start to fuck with who is a “citizen.”


I have conversations with my far more conservative relatives — whom I love dearly — and their reaction to the potential demise of something as fundimental as birthright citizenship is a real life shrug emoji. They just don’t care. All they care about is “securing the border” to the point that when you press them about how they plan to deport 20 million undocumented people — they just laugh.

They don’t care, they just want it to happen, damn the consequences.

So, it definitely seems as though if Trump is re-elected that many of my dystopian fears for his first term will come to fruition. I just don’t know what to tell you folks. It definitely FEELS like I may very well lose my citizenship and find myself in a Trump-branded concentration camp at some point after 2025 if I can’t manage to sell the novel I’m working on and get the hell out of the country.
